1: After dating for many years, Harry and Maude were married one week before her 33rd birthday.
2: At the time of their marriage both Harry and Maude lived at Bank Bottom in Shelly, Yorkshire.
3: Mrs. Sarah Martha Lodge was Harry's elder sister, who was born in Shelly in 1878.
4: The photo of Maude was provided by my cousin Elsie and the photo of the church was taken by me during a visit to the beautiful village of Shelly.
5: The above information is taken from the original marriage register held at the Parish Church in Shelly, the original baptism register for St Walburge's Church in Preston, held at the Lancashire Archives; and from the recollections of my late cousin Elsie (Swarbrick) Banks.
