FAMILY HISTORY: SWARBRICK

REMEMBERING ELSIE (SWARBRICK) BANKS:

FINAL PAGE

On New Years Day 2004, Elsie was in good spirits. She had stayed up the night before until just past midnight to see in the New Year and, although a bit tired, she seemed fine. Her only complaint was that the previous evening’s telly had been "a load of rubbish". She was looking forward to her cousin Emily's visit the next day and wanted to plant the Amaryllis bulb that was given to her for Christmas.

Sometime that night or early the next morning, Elsie fell asleep.

Elsie will be loved and always remembered by her family and friends, and will live in our hearts forever.

NOTE: The date of death on the headstone is due to the fact that I found her on the 2nd and that is the date recorded on the death certificate. From the way she was positioned and the way her clothes and other things were arranged, I am convinced that she died the night before while getting ready for bed.
