NOTES:
1: James & Annie Madden and their first three known children were born in what later became the Irish Free State and is now the Irish Republic. They emigrated to the USA c. 1847.
2: Annie (Whitford) Madden died sometime between the date of the 1860 and 1870 Censuses, and the last record I have for James Madden is the 1880 Census. It is believed that he returned to Ireland.
