NOTES:
1: Thomas Swarbrick Sr was born in Preston and almost certainly baptized at St Mary's Catholic Church but the baptisms records for that period seem to be missing.
2: Alice Daggers' surname is sometimes spelled Dagger and either spelling may be correct. I have used Daggers here as it seems the more common and correct spelling.
3: Alice Daggers and her sister Elizabeth signed the marriage register with their marks, all other parties to the marriage signed their own names.
4: The above information is from the original registers of St Ignatius Catholic Church, St John's Parish Church, and transcripts of the registers of St Mary's and St Wilfrid's churches in Preston, and from the burial records for Preston Cemetery, all held at the Lancashire Archives.
