THE FAMILY OF MARY ALICE ODDIE
| Mary Alice Oddie was baptized on 14 June 1846, the daughter of John Oddie and Mary Salthouse,
at St John's Parish Church in Preston. Her parents had been married in the same church on 6 July 1839. I do not know what became of her parents but suspect that they may have died at a fairly young age as Mary Alice and her siblings were staying with their uncle on the night of the 1881 Census: |
